The process of working with young athletes starts with the parents. Our first priority is to educate parents and address any concerns regarding fitness and sports performance training as it relates specifically to their young athlete. We also address parental roles on how to give their young athlete maximum support at home.
We start establishing a solid foundation of movement and coordination at age 10. The research is overwhelmingly conclusive that when we can establish foundational movement patterns early on, this will reduce the likelihood of overuse injuries occurring later in the athlete’s career.
