Having been involved in the Fitness Industry for over 25 years, I became increasingly frustrated at its?poor standards. Quite simply, I became sick and tired of clubs where sales numbers were more important than member results. Personal training standards were ridiculously poor and good training programs and qualified instruction were almost impossible to find. I set out to create the solution. And I truly believe I did!
In 2009, we became the first Adult Training gym in Western MA. I have always believed that if you want to have a healthy, balanced life, you must eat well & MOVE WELL! Since I was in high school I have always had my training and nutrition as a priority in my life. I was helping friends and family eat right and lose fat at a very early age. I helped multiple friends lose 20+ pounds when I was a junior in high school! Being able to coach others so that they are able to reach their goals has been incredibly rewarding. I am here to help any motivated individual who comes into Conca reach their goals.
I took that early passion and turned it into my future career. I recently graduated from Westfield State University with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science. I am also a certified personal trainer, functional strength coach and soon to be a nutritionist. I have also partnered with Exercise is Medicine and ACSM this past year to present & publish research on the benefits of physical activity within a group and/or personal training. I also began natural bodybuilding a few years back when I wanted to take my training and nutrition to absolute extremes. Following safe and effective dieting protocols, I coached myself and was able to drop roughly 50lbs and reach sub 5% body fat to win my first ever bodybuilding show in July of 2016. Drug-free bodybuilding was a great sport for the sole fact that I was competing with myself. I plan to compete for many more years to come!
Whether you are an athlete or just someone trying to get back in shape, I can not stress enough that it always comes down to you vs. yourself. I never compared my fitness journey to someone else?s, and I believe that is what lead to my success. Your beginning maybe someone?s middle, and that is totally fine!
For some people, it seems they have no struggles with fitness or nutrition. That was not me. I have struggled with self-image and low confidence that led to an unhealthy relationship with food and the scale. In 2011 I decided to make a change to become a happier & healthier wife, mother & role model.
In the process, I decided to share my journey with others inspiring many friends and family along the way. A fire within me had been lit. Through my own struggles, I realized that there was a missing link. There is a complex relationship between exercise, nutrition and emotions that often go undiscussed and finding the support from family or close friends can be tough. This is where my passion lies in helping others.
I am a very open person, so feel free to reach out & be open as well. Nutrition is not always easy, I completely get it! I am that girl who would eat almost a whole container of double stuffed Oreo?s at one sitting or mix up a batch of brownie batter without egg and eat it like pudding. Habits can and WILL change. Support and an environment like Conca provides will get you there. Give yourself time & Don?t give up! One thing I will say is success will not happen overnight & it is not always a straight line. Commit you yourself. You are in good hands, here. I can attest to that 1st hand.
I always say things happen for a reason. Sometimes talking to someone who has ?Been There? helps. I have found the strength to overcome rooted self-esteem issues by focusing on myself through nutrition, fitness, a supportive community, and personal development. You can too! You can accomplish anything you put your heart and mind too.

I started my internship Jan 22nd, 2018 during my Spring semester at WSU and it was by far the best gig around! An incredible internship program designed for success including on the floor coaching from day 1 and all sorts readings/videos and meetings to keep us on track and continuously progress.
Mr. Conca connected me with the Westfield Senior center in an attempt to re-build a broken program where the previous instructor had left without any notice. I started with a total of 5 men in late January 2018 meeting one day a week from 9-10am for this all-male class. Since then, I have managed to more than double the numbers of members as well as add another class per week on Wednesday mornings. The class is based around strength, balance, mobility and core stability training. One gentleman in the class just after attending the class 1 day per week had decreased low back pain which was noticed by his chiropractor and now after adding in the 2nd day per week he no longer has to visit him.
Having the opportunity to run Conca’s first Fit in 42 program was a true pleasure and an incredible opportunity for myself and everyone that joined me on that 42 day lifestyle change. High energy, no judgement, team work and a supportive environment like I’ve never been a part of before. It was unbelievable to see what practicing the fundamentals over and over again for 6 weeks can do the body while following the nutrition plan. Truly inspiring, age does not define exercise limitations and it’s never too late to reinvent yourself!
Delilah Campurciani is a long time resident of West Springfield and has been active in the fitness industry for decades.
She has worked at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, as a Physical Training Instructor. While there she developed and administered training programs for new recruits and police officers from around the country. She also worked at the Massachusetts Police Training Academy, training new recruits.?
Delilah went to College at The College of Brockport ,State University of New York in Brockport New York.
She is a certified Functional Strength Coach? through Mike Boyles Strength and Conditioning.? Delilah is also certified through the Massachusetts Police Training Council on Health and Wellness.??
